Zimmerman's Domestic Violence Charge

by Ac Hampton

The man acquitted in the shooting and killing of Florida teen Treyvon Martin , George Zimmerman was arrested Monday afternoon outside of Orlando Florida for  domestic violence. His girlfriend Samantha Schiebe, whose house he was in, called the police on him and told them that he had pointed a gun to her head then barricaded himself inside her house.

“She was concerned for her safety, certainly from having the weapon pointed at her. She’s shaken up over this incident, like any of us would be.” according to The Guardian.com

The Seminole County Sheriff’s office later released recordings of two 911 calls made during the incident, which appear to be from Scheibe and Zimmerman.
In the first call a woman tells dispatchers: “I need police right now. He’s in my house breaking all my things because I asked him to leave. He has his frickin’ gun, breaking all of my stuff right now.”

Just even hearing that someone else is facing the same danger that Treyvon Martin faced is devastating and it makes me question our judicial system when it comes to letting criminal free. George Zimmerman was acquitted of the murder of Treyvon Martin meaning he can still carry guns.
On the other hand from inside the house, Zimmerman's story was “for lack of a better word, has gone crazy on me”

If George Zimmerman was just involved in a major case which left one dead by his firearm, why is he even able to have a gun? when will the law learn that they cannot give everyone the privilege to hold a firearm because everyone's emotions are not the same and most people with anger problems will first result to using their gun trying to resolve the problem.

Zimmerman’s volatile temperament stretches back to at least 2005, when he was ordered to attend anger management classes after allegedly attacking an undercover police officer according to Theguardian.com.

I just don't understand how someone with a record that stretches down to the floor can beat every case with little to no punishment. George Zimmerman needs to pay for his crimes just as well as everyone else and he may have gotten off the hook every time before but he need to receive a greater punishment for this crime.

Zimmerman back in Jail: Proposal

The man acquitted in the shooting and killing of Florida teen Treyvon Martin , George Zimmerman was arrested Monday afternoon for a domestic violence
Call from his girlfriend. She stated that he pulled a gun on her and had more guns in the house.

The Seminole County Sheriff said Zimmerman has been charged with aggravated assault, battery, and criminal mischief.

Why is it that only months after the trial of Treyvon Martin , Zimmerman is showing the same anger issues and has the same issue of pointing his firearm at people. Why is he still legally permitted to have guns? He is clearly showing signs of someone who hasn't changed or doesn't care about having a negative look in the eyes of the media.

Big Screen to the Battle Field

By: Ac Hampton

Most fictional movies are meant to keep us entertained and are meant to show us imaginative ideas can be made into an amazing movie. But what happens when the movies become real. The US government is developing "iron man like" suits for our military which will make our soldiers stronger and faster just like the character iron man. This is a new day in age of military and even if the idea comes from a movie our government must explore all options of making our soldiers the best on earth. What doors does this open up for the future?

U.S. Special Forces Command, Adm. William McRaven want bullets to be able to bounce off the bodies of his soldiers as they fire back at the enemy. Although this sounds fictional he believes that he can make this happen just like the movie iron man.

The government calls it the Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit but everyone else on the project refers to it as the "Iron Man Suit" says CNN.

Innovative and strong leading ideas are always a good way to better the government in my opinion so I think that these suits will be a great addition to our military. They seem to provide the safety and strength that a solider will need on the battlefield. If bullets are bouncing off if the chest of our countries soldiers then the death toll in war will be one less thing our citizens will fear.

There are many ideas that are being added to the suit that already exist but they don't exist as a unit and this suit will bring all of those technologies together. When that project is completed, the perfect suit will be completed.

Bringing the movies to life may sometimes seem fictional but in this circumstance it is not and is something that may change the way an American solider is viewed. Using the movie Iron Man as a base for an ultimate suit for a soldier is an innovative and out of the box idea that I think our country needed.

How Far Will Gay Marriage Go?

by Ac Hampton

In this day in time in the Unites States of America gay marriage is becoming more familiar and people are getting use to same sex relationships even though if its only seen in the media. But when is our country going to realized that this is going to far and when will we realized that we are setting a terrible example for the generations to come.

Senator-Elect Cory Booker married 7 same-sex couple as soon as the clock hit 12 a.m in New Jersey on the 21st of October.New Jersey was the 14th state to recognize gay marriage.

A state judge ruled to legalize same-sex marriage in New Jersey, saying gay couples would be denied federal benefits if the state kept allowing only civil unions.

Same Sex Marriages are becoming more and more publicized through Mass mediums and now the legalization of gay marriage in the 14th state. How long is it before half of the country supports gay marriage?

Governor Chris Christie dropped his appeal on the law after realizing it wasn't much that he could do seeing as though the issue went over his head

The governor concluded that, legally, he was out of arguments, and that it would be what one aide called a “fool’s errand” to continue in the face of almost certain failure says the new york times.

Our children are growing up in state where they can see same-sex couple interact and perform just as easy as a regular couple. We are showing them it is ok to be a homosexual and it is not. we are allowing kids to be adopted by same-sex couples depriving them of either a mother or a father. We're turning the situation from moral wrong into a civil right. Who are we really protecting?

Proposal: Gay marriage in New Jersey

Today new Jersey is the 14th state to recognize gay marriage. this goes to shoe citizens of the united states that same sex marriages are becoming more common and close to our homes. although most of us are taught that a man and a woman must be together, the government is making it legal so marry anyone you want.

"The state has advanced a number of arguments, but none of them overcome this reality: Same-sex couples who cannot marry are not treated equally under the law today," said the court's opinion, written by Chief Justice Stuart Rabner.

Will same sex marriages cause an issue in our communities? will its change the visions of our children an the generation coming after us. Are we setting good examples by allowing same sex marriages to be legal?

How much does President Obama care about the uprising issues of student loans ?

By: AC Hampton

How much does President Obama care about the uprising issues of student? Obamacare or The Affordable Care act is supposed to correct the problems that our country has been facing but it doesn't seem to be correcting the student loan issue, it's making it worse. President Obama is using funds from the student loan industry to fund healthcare.

With the federal debt at $16.7 trillion, student loan debts measure at 6% of the overall national debt says Forbes.com.

The Affordable Care Act is set to cost students enrolled in the government’s loan program $8.7 billion in extra interest over the next decade, according to a report published by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office.

Before Obamacare banks such as Bank of America and Suntrust were allowed to issue private loans, but now the government is controlling student loans and issuing them at a higher interest rate.

If savings were kept inside the loan program, instead of transferred to Obamacare, as some Republican senators are suggesting, they could allow the Department of Education to lower student interest rates to 5.3 percent from 6.3 percent, according to the CBO.

The nearly $9 billion in increased student loan debt is being used to pay for Obamacare, and it is derived from $106 billion the government says it will save by administering student loans in house, says the CBO.So while the government claims to be saving big money on student loans, your interest rate's going up.

So over the next decade education cost may become unaffordable for most families and student loans interest rate will be raised to uncontrollable rates for most recent graduates.Obamacare is planning on increasing our interest rates to fund his healthcare program. Our president is digging itself into more debt.

How does Obama Care Affect student loans

How does Obama Care Affect Student Loans

One part of Obama care is to Abolish student’s loans. Because of Obama care all student loans are now federal loans, which will lead to higher rates.

The Affordable Care Act is set to cost students enrolled in the government’s loan program $8.7 billion in extra interest over the next decade, according to a report published by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office.

If savings were kept inside the loan program, instead of transferred to Obamacare, as some Republican senators are suggesting, they could allow the Department of Education to lower student interest rates to 5.3 percent from 6.3 percent, according to the CBO.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell states that, Medicaid cost increases associated with the healthcare law have forced states to raise tuition rates, also negatively affecting college students.

Before this happened banks such as Citi and Bank of America provided federal loans, private loans,. Now the government provides loans and banks are no longer able to offer any type of loan to students as a result.

So over the next decade education cost may become unaffordable for most families and student loans interest rate will be raised to uncontrollable rates for most recent graduates

Selling Your Identity

Just recently Apple announced that it were releasing its latest iPhone, which would be the 5s, and the unique and new a feature allow you to unlock your phone with your fingerprint. By apple having access to your fingerprint they basically have your identity and location every time you unlock your phone. Some of the main issues to focus on will be if apple would be forced by law enforcement to surrender its information to catch criminals or if it servers that hold all of these fingerprint gets hacked seeing as though apple hold everything through their storage system called the cloud.

Apple announced that it sold over 9 million iPhone 5S and 5Cs during the opening weekend of sales and the number of IPhone users growing more than any other smart phone users.

“Touch ID” the new feature may seem to be the most convenient and secure but for how long? Seeing as though you would need your fingerprint to open the phone you would be the only person that could open it but how secure is your information and the contents of your phone?

In certain situations will law enforcement have the right to access your location through Apples Touch ID? Consumers must understand that if they are using this feature there is no such thing as privacy or not being found because your identity and location is being track through the one thing that you use everyday, you iPhone.

“It is plain stupid to use something that you can’t change and that you leave everywhere every day as a security token”, said Frank Rieger, spokesperson of the Computer Chaos Club. “The public should no longer be fooled by the biometrics industry with false security claims.” says, M. Rogowsky form Changingminds.org.

"Fingerprints have been studied for uniqueness, identification and criminal importance for more than one hundred years. Through technology and expertly trained fingerprint examiners, the fingerprint can be the single most important piece of evidence for solving a crime "says, a reporter from Portland State University

It is rare that companies as big as Apple get hacked but it is possible. Sony the maker of the PlayStation game consoles experience a security breach in 2011 that compromised the data of 77 million accounts on the online service.

“Sony said account information, including names, birth dates, email addresses and log-in information, was compromised for players using its PlayStation Network” says, Y.  Kageyama from Changingminds.org.

iPhone users should be aware that the one thing that they carry everywhere they go is holding some of their most valuable information and they should also know what they are signing up for when they purchase the new iPhone. Consumers are selling their identities and their locations at all times with the purchase of and iPhone 5S.

War with Syria ?

Nearly 1,500 are dead in what the new york post calls it. "the worst chemical attack in the 21st Century". Bashar al-Assad’s regime launched the chemical weapons that killed nearly 1,500 civilians in a suburb of Damascus in Syria on the 26th of August . Many people were injured and killed by the explosions sent by their very own leader.

President Obama has made it very clear that he would like to take military action against Syria for the harm done to their people under Assad's ruling and because he broke the laws of chemical weapon use.

There are different feelings throughout the country if Obama should launch an attack on Assad due to the retaliation in the form of terrorism. Many are unaware that this is a 2 1/2 year old civil war going on in Syria, why would them president get involved now and what retaliation will it bring the United States.

Why would Obama invest time into trying to save lives in Syria when there is so much to be fixed in our own country from Obama care to student loans.America has its own problem now , why create the possible risk of terrorism in our country by getting involved in a situation that has nothing to do with us Americans. I understand that he must act as a leader when someone breaks major laws but you also have to act in the best interest of your citizens.

"Striking Syria would kill innocent people, spread violence across the region and cloud other Middle East peace efforts. It would also "unleash a new wave of terrorism."

Proposal 3: Selling your identity for an iPhone ?

Just recently Apple announced that they were releasing their latest iphine which would be the 5s and the unique and new a feature allow you to unlock your phone with your fingerprint. By apple having access to your fingerprint they basically have your indentity and location every time you unlock your phone. My main concerns are will they make any deals with law enforcement to catch criminals or if their servers that hold all of these fingerprint be hacked seeing as though apple hold everything through their storage system called the cloud.

Study shows that more than 1 Billion approx. 1,484,232,448 Iphone users in the world and the number of Iphone users growing more than any other smart phone users.

Proposal 2 : Is it a good idea to go to war with Syria?

Nearly 1,500 are dead in what the new york post calls it. "the worst chemical attack in the 21st Century". Bashar al-Assad’s regime launched the chemical weapons that killed nearly 1,500 civilians in a suburb of Damascus in Syria on the 26th of August . Many people were injured and killedmby the explosions sent by their very own leader.Obama has also made a strong case that a military response is the proper action but he has to aware the votes from congress on the 9th of September. There are different feelings throughout the country if Obama should launch an attack on Assad due to the retaliation in the form of terrorism. Many are unaware that this is a 2 1/2 year old civil war going on in Syria, why would them president get involved now and what retaliation will it bring the United States.

Armed Teachers in Schools

By: AC Hampton

Albany, Ga -Gun violence is becoming a lot more common in schools around the country at this day and age. When parents send their children to school they want to feel like their child is safe and that they will be protected in their learning environment. Random shooting in schools over then last 10 year have parents afraid to even enroll the kids into public schools.

Gun violence poses a serious threat to America’s children and youth. The most recent massacre occurred in 2012 at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.Existing data clearly point to the need for improved strategies for keeping guns out of the hands of children and youth and those who would harm them. Sandy Hook Elementary Schoor,Columbine,Red Lake high schools, Westside Middle School,  and Virginia Tech were all victims to shooting on their campuses . In 80% of school-associated firearm-related homicides and suicides, the weapons used were obtained from the home or from a friend or relative (Reza et al., 2003).

Unfortunately, when a school shooting occurs, school personnel and children are left helpless until the police arrive or the shooter decides to end the rampage. With out anyone being armed it allows the shooter to roam the campus letting off rounds of ammunition onto faculty and students.

One strategy to help prevent shootings in school is to keep the teachers armed  which in my opinion is one of the best possibly options just in case anything were to happen. There are teachers in every classroom who need to be willing to protect their students in any act of danger .

Teachers, principals and even school janitors could be soon be armed in schools across the nation starting with California. The idea is to create essentially an invisible line of defense and to turn teachers into bodyguards. The main thing that teachers are trying to do is change lives and prevent any wrong doings to their students.

Tim Donnelly (San Bernardino County) is creating a bill named AB202 and says it is more effective than the dozen other proposed gun-control bills attempting to prevent a school shooting like the massacre that left 20 students dead in Newtown, Conn.

The bill would allow school districts to use education funds to train staff who volunteer to be armed and who pass the state's background check.

"We have a moral obligation that the next Vicki Soto, who is faced with inexplicable evil, that she not be left defenseless," said Donnelly, a known gun rights advocate, the Sacramento Bee reports.

No one can predict when a shooting is going to occur but one thing you can do is be prepared for it and train to handle the situation if it does occur. Shootin in public schools is becoming a lot more common so it is our jobs a citizens that we make the right choices when it comes to keeping our children and students safe and provide them with a safe learning environment .  Teachers and faculty should be armed in the case of a school shooting so that they can be in a position to be able to protect their students. We owe this to teachers like Vicki Soto who used her body as a shield to protect students from bullets .

Proposal 1 : Guns in Schools

Shooting in schools has become very common in America in this day in age. American citizen have to send their children to school scared that they might not come home. My first article is about a shooting in the atlanta area and my second article which is also my argument  is about teachers carrying handguns to school with them for protection. Has our country come to the era where teacher have to carry guns to work? Millions of children attend school everyday in this country and the children's have families that want them to be protected while they are away from home, even at school. I feel as if teachers should be allowed to carry firearms to work because its provides not only protection for them but for the students. Parents in our country need to be aware that their children may be exposed to guns at any earlier age due to the changes going on in our country. This article brings more attention to the changes that our country is goin through and needs to be read by everyone.
