Big Screen to the Battle Field

By: Ac Hampton

Most fictional movies are meant to keep us entertained and are meant to show us imaginative ideas can be made into an amazing movie. But what happens when the movies become real. The US government is developing "iron man like" suits for our military which will make our soldiers stronger and faster just like the character iron man. This is a new day in age of military and even if the idea comes from a movie our government must explore all options of making our soldiers the best on earth. What doors does this open up for the future?

U.S. Special Forces Command, Adm. William McRaven want bullets to be able to bounce off the bodies of his soldiers as they fire back at the enemy. Although this sounds fictional he believes that he can make this happen just like the movie iron man.

The government calls it the Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit but everyone else on the project refers to it as the "Iron Man Suit" says CNN.

Innovative and strong leading ideas are always a good way to better the government in my opinion so I think that these suits will be a great addition to our military. They seem to provide the safety and strength that a solider will need on the battlefield. If bullets are bouncing off if the chest of our countries soldiers then the death toll in war will be one less thing our citizens will fear.

There are many ideas that are being added to the suit that already exist but they don't exist as a unit and this suit will bring all of those technologies together. When that project is completed, the perfect suit will be completed.

Bringing the movies to life may sometimes seem fictional but in this circumstance it is not and is something that may change the way an American solider is viewed. Using the movie Iron Man as a base for an ultimate suit for a soldier is an innovative and out of the box idea that I think our country needed.
